Harry Styles seems to be everywhere these days. Having released his first solo album post-“One Direction” on Friday, he’s doing all the media rounds – and on his latest interview, Harry opened up – just a bit – about his sexuality and dating habits.
And yes, he’s a “no labels” kind of guy.
Over the years, Harry Styles’ fans spent countless hours spreading rumours about his sexuality, particularly about the so-called “Larry” relationship, with fellow 1D star Louis Tomlinson (so much so, that Louis at one point banned the use of the term “Larry” on his Instagram page).
Speaking to The Sun this week, the 23-year-old singer and heart-throb was first asked about sexuality in relation to Miley Cyrus, who opened up about being pan-sexual.
“Being in a creative field”, Harry said, “it’s important to be progressive. People doing stuff like that is great. It’s weird for me – everyone should just be who they want to be. It’s tough to justify somebody having to answer to someone else about stuff like that.”
Asked point-blank about his own sexuality, Harry explained he has no need to label himself.
“I’ve never felt the need to really. No. I don’t feel like it’s something I’ve ever felt like I have to explain about myself.”
Harry also spoke about his dating habits, his relationships constantly being in the public eye, and – how he goes about finding relationships.
“No, I’m not on Tinder! I try not to overthink too much. I don’t really talk about it I guess. The roller-coaster affects different people in different ways. One of the ways that helps me dealing with that is compartmentalising between working.”
