The Arrow (Stephen Amell) having “fun” with Roy (Colton Haynes)? It’s a common internet fantasy shared by many of us. And it’s also being shared by Haynes himself, as revealed by Amell in a new interview, where he also congratulates Haynes for his successful coming out.
Colton Haynes, who plays “Arsenal” on the hit superhero show, recently came out as gay in an interview. “I am so happy for Colton”, the Arrow star tells E! News in a new video interview, and reveals how Haynes was almost outed by a fan:
“A fan three or four months ago at a Comic-Con convention basically tried to bait me into outing him. I got in touch with Colton and was like, ‘Hey, man, this happened [and] I didn’t know what to say.
I simply deflected and we moved on.’…He emailed me back and said, ‘You know, I really appreciate that and I’ve recently made some decisions over the past few months and I’m excited about what’s in the future.’ I’m excited for him, too.”
Amell then talks about the photo he received from Haynes for the “National Send A Nude Day” (don’t forget the one Haynes posted for all of us!) –
“He sent me a very funny text message yesterday for National Send a Nude day…He enjoyed it and so did I.
It might have been Colton and I engaged in some after hours Arrow cave activity with our heads Photoshopped on other bodies. I’ll leave it at that.”
It’s the stuff Internet fantasy is made of. Watch the full video right here:
