We’ve been finding out a lot about Charlie Hunnam recently. We now know he hates kissing, but we also know he wanted to kiss Robert Pattinson. Well, you can now add another piece of information to the Hunnam puzzle – his man crush.
Charlie Hunnam has two upcoming films – The Lost City of Z, and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. In his King Arthur movie he plays along David Beckham, and in an interview with Mr Porter, Charlie explained how good it felt to be around Beckham, and the man-crush he developed.
“It became very clear why and how Beckham’s become the phenomenon that he has. Because he showed up determined to do a good job. He’d worked with a dialect coach, and maybe an acting coach.
I sort of anticipated, well, he’s a superstar. This is not his primary or even his secondary focus; this is just a bit of a giggle for him. But that work ethic just shone through.
And that, combined with him just being humble and kind and accessible, was very endearing. I’m not a football man, so upfront, I didn’t really have a strong feeling one or way or another. But by the time he left, I had a little bit of a crush on him. He was pretty fucking cool.”
If you’re a fan of Charlie, you’re obviously familiar with those incredible abs. In his interview, Charlie also talks about the active lifestyle he maintains.
“I have come to really like an active lifestyle. It was a bit of a challenge to begin with to find a routine that felt good.
But equal to the physical rewards of feeling good and healthy and energized, just the mental clarity and emotional stability I find I get from working out have become pretty essential to my day-to-day life.”
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is set to release on May 17, 2017.
