Remember that moment when a Twink becomes a Twunk? Well, perhaps that’s what’s going to happen to Tom Holland and his Spider-Man in the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming. Or at least – his Spidey costume is going to reflect some of that.
As you might remember if you’ve seen Tom Holland’s beginnings as Spider-Man, first in Captain America: Civil War and then in Spider-Man: Homecoming, his costume was a very basic, home-made attire.
Then, Spidey got a fancy, upgraded suit from his mentor, Iron-Man. And now – in the sequel to Homecoming, the suit is changing yet again.
Costume designer Louise Frogley, who designed the costumes for Homecoming and the upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp, the new Spider-Man suit will reflect the fact that 22-years-old Tom Holland, or rather – Peter Parker – is becoming more of a man, as Digital Spy reports.
“I am not actually working on that film, but the costumes will have very big changes because, in the film, Spider-Man becomes more like man and not teenager.
As a young guy, he had his homemade suit, and then he has this beautiful suit that Tony Stark gives him, which is pretty cool.”
Of course, if you’ve seen Avengers: Infinity War, you would know there’s some question as to whether Spider-Man will even be around for a sequel. But… we can pretty much be sure he will be. Somehow.
