Doesn’t matter how many times we see them – flash mob gay proposals still bring us to tears every time. Stewart’s proposal is really going to make your day (if not your week) – there’s singing, and dancing, and a very emotional fiancé. Plus, believe it or not – No Bruno Mars!

Stewart Griffin and Koltyr Wright have been dating for two and a half years, but have had a long-distance relationship in the past year, due to Stewart moving from Salt Lake City to Seattle. “Being apart from Koltyr has taught me that no matter how far away he is, I always want to be by his side”, Stewart says in the video.

On April 8th 2016, Koltyr showed up to Memory Grove Park, in Salt Lake City, thinking he was about to film a music video. He had recorded a cover of “Brand New” by Ben Rector, and thought the song was part of a side project for a friend.

What Koltyr didn’t know, is that the song would be used for his own proposal, and that I had collaborated with his friends to create a mashup of our favorite songs.

Stewart documented the preparations for the proposal, including the actual day on which he decided he wanted to marry his boyfriend, the place they first kissed, etc’. Then, on #1.55, the actual proposal begins, with a surprise entrance by the future fiancé.

It’s uplifting, it’s romantic, it’s playful – but don’t take our word for it. Watch it right here:
